I teach primarily introductory Communicology courses, as well as leadership, argumentation, and instructional communication. I have been teaching for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa since 2016 and have also spent time teaching at Honolulu Community College.

Research
My research focuses on the effects of profanity and censorship of profanity on our messages. Specifically, I study if censorship masks the effects we see profanity having on how we respond to and interpret a message.
